7-month-old wake windows
Seven months is often an overlap period between three naps and two longer naps.
| Part of day | Starting range |
|---|---|
| First wake window | 2h–2h30 |
| Second wake window | 2h15–2h50 |
| Final wake window | 3h–3h45 |
| Likely rhythm | 2–3 naps |
When a three-nap day still fits
Three naps may remain useful after short morning naps, an early wake-up or a more tiring day. The third nap is commonly shorter than the first two.
Early signs of a two-nap rhythm
- The third nap repeatedly becomes difficult to fit.
- Two earlier naps become longer.
- A third nap pushes bedtime too late.
One or two unusual days are not enough to prove a transition. Look for a repeating pattern.
